Storm Watch or Storm Warning?
11/27/2018 (Permalink)
Whether it be rain or snow, it is important to know what is happening around your local area. We often hear the meteorologist say things like, “severe weather warning” or “severe weather watch”. It is just as important to know the difference between the two. A weather warning is issued by the SPC (Storm Prediction Center) and means that there is a potential for the development of a storm. A weather watch means there is a severe storm in progress and can be seen on radar.
