Sump Pump Information, University Heights Ohio

"Some homes with basements or crawl spaces are protected from ground water damage by a network of drainage tubes around the foundation. These direct water into a shallow pit, or sump, where a sump pump pushes the water out and away from the house through a discharge pipe.

Sump pumps work automatically each time water fills the sump, making them easy to forget about. Don’t. A damaged or broken pump can quickly allow water to overflow the sump and damage your basement." Read more on the Lowes site for types of sump pumps and more!

SERVPRO of South Euclid/Lyndhurst/Pepper Pike is available 24/7 if you need us to clean up from a sump pump failure.

Storm Water Floods Building

The rain water from the sudden storm went into this this building . Pictured is a room after the removal of the soiled and contaminated carpeting. The 12-inch cut-out of drywall panel allowed for access and drying to the wall cavities. Our equipment is still in the process of restoring normal humidity and moisture levels.
